Reading is the most important tool we can give our kids.

This sounds simple and it is. Whether through public, private, religious or home schooling, the written word opens the world to a child. Whatever a person’s obstacles, reading will allow one to rise up and become successful.

Essay Contest

Wayland rolled up his sleeves to promote education in the community. Our dedicated teachers cannot do it all, remember, education starts at home. It also cannot be stated enough, “Your mind is your future” and “Knowledge is valuable.” To this end I invited the children of House District 6 to participate in this year’s essay contest.
