Teaparty update

Hi Everyone!!  Looks like we will have wonderful weather for our big day tomorrow!! I'm excited and thrilled to get to be a part of something so huge--- a national movement--- that's awesome to me!  Well, I think it's going to be where we have to stand on the sidewalk on the north side of Hwy. 20 and 66.  There is a good sidewalk there and of course the post office at 9th and Cherokee and Dan Boren's office east of the courthouse about 1 1/2 blocks.  We'll meet at the overflow parking south of the courthouse on Missouri St. at 1050 a.m. and whoever wants to come at the later one we can meet there again because we probably won't get to do the courthouse parking lot.  It has been suggested that everyone dress in patriotic colors, i.e red or white shirt and blue  jeans or anything patriotic.  If anyone dares to dress like Founding Fathers (or Mothers :)  ) that would be awesome!!  We have to mind our manners and not be shouting at people driving by or pedestrians.  I'm sure that goes without saying but it doesn't hurt to be reminded, we want to set a good example.  We have to stay out of the street - use crosswalks to cross the street. ( I'm telling you this because our Chief of Police asked me what we were doing and said what he doesn't want us to do).  We can't obstruct drivers views,  I'm sure we'll be watched.  If we want to do things like this in the future, this will be our testing ground tomorrow.

I think that's it.  If the Commissioner calls back with news that we can be on their sidewalk that will be terrific.

Everyone get a good nights rest and be ready for tomorrow ---with our smiling faces---because it's good to do the right thing!

Thanks for your hard work,

Denise Clinton

Hey, everybody!  Some of y'all might already know about this, but I
don't want anyone to miss out just because no one told them.  There is
a teaparty this Wednesday, April 15th in Claremore.  There are two
different times that day, for your convenience.  The first one is 11
a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second one is 5:30 to 7:30 that evening.  Both
times will start at the Courthouse overflow parking lot on Missouri
Street.  From there, it'll split into groups, some at Boren's office,
some at the courthouse, etc..  For more information, contact Jo
Rainbolt (j.rainbolt@cox.net) or Denise Clinton
(dennymc56@sbcglobal.net).
Hope to see you there!

Vice Chair
